PART-TIME SEASONAL EDUCATOR

RETI Center’s mission is to educate, train, and work with local youth, experts, professionals, and community members to transform our coastal city from one that is driven by fossil fuels to one balancing equity, ecology, and economy. We believe experiential learning and innovative ideas empower all of society to adapt and thrive together.

RETI’s Field Station is a floating educational space on the Gowanus Bay. We encourage local youth to become stewards of the waterways by working together to build, observe and document how revitalized marine habitats clean our polluted bay. We provide the community with educational opportunities about resiliency efforts of the industrial waterfront through site visits, in-school programming, and workforce training programs. Our programs create work opportunities, advance knowledge, and provide experiential learning opportunities around climate adaptation for those who ordinarily lack such avenues into the green jobs of the future.
