SOLAR TRAINING

Workforce development program for green jobs and sustainability

No-cost skills training, paid internships, and
green job creation for target populations.

The next training session will run April 2024.
Full-day courses run Monday-Friday from 9am - 5pm in Red Hook.

Step 1. Attend our weekly info session, which is held every Tuesday at 12 noon via Zoom. 

Step 2. After the info session, you will receive an email with the digital application form. 

Step 3. Once you have completed the application form, we will send an email to set up a one-on-one virtual meeting.

Step 4: On-site hands-on project one week before the cycle begins.

  • Brooklyn Solar Works is a hyperlocal solar specialist with over 1,000 projects installed in the community. Their expert guidance drives our hands-on solar training program.

  • Cambio Labs is building the interactive training platform to allow LOCAL POWER to help develop the next generation of green industry leaders.

  • Good Shepherd Services provides wrap-around support services, funding, and referrals for solar trainees.
