Become a RETI Center Mentor! 

RETI Center is seeking mentors for our Workforce Development Mentorship Program!

In an effort to help our Workforce Training Program develop cohesive career readiness, RETI Center connects industry professionals with graduates of our Local Power Training Program who have expressed a need for career guidance. With that connection, we support a pathway and network for our graduates to tap into the green economy ecosystem.

If you are a green or blue economy professional who can provide meaningful guidance to the next generation of professionals, we would love to connect you with one of our graduates!

Mentors commit to meeting with their mentee once a month, for six months. No previous mentoring experience is required to be a RETI mentor.

Join us in tabling for RETI Center Community Solar!

We are out in a neighborhood near you sharing information on RETI Center Community Solar, and we would love it if you would join us! Tabling at community events is the most important way we engage the community to save money on utility bills and share the benefits of community solar!

Volunteers table alongside RETI staff, providing information about solar energy, getting community members subscribed, and answering questions. 

RETI provides Community Solar Tabling Team training for any volunteer interested in joining us; once trained, we will connect you with CSTT opportunities. No previous knowledge of community solar is required!

Help out with RETI’s social media and communications!

We are seeking volunteers to provide design, digital content support, and event documentation to strengthen RETI’s communications and visibility. Volunteers in this role could assist in drafting social media content, designing RETI brand graphics, and documenting photos and videos at RETI Center events for our social media!

Volunteers would ideally have experience in digital content creation, social media management, photography, design, or have an interest in any of the above.

RETI is seeking volunteers to conduct philanthropic research and provide organizational support related to grants, donor-advised funds, and high-net-worth prospects.

An ideal volunteer for this opportunity would bring previous experience in grant writing, especially for nonprofit organizations. Possible tasks for this volunteer may include grant writing, database management, grant research, and communication with the RETI team around fundraising.

RETI is seeking volunteers to help support our Executive Director to keep RETI moving forward! 

An ideal volunteer for this opportunity would bring previous experience in a similar role, especially for nonprofit organizations or as personal assistant, as well as some experience with Excel, Airtable, and Google Sheets. Possible tasks for this volunteer may include scheduling, assisting with emails, document development, and contact management. We are looking for someone who can consistently commit to a few hours per week.

RETI is seeking volunteers to help us find space in the city to host our classes and programs! 

An ideal volunteer for this opportunity would have knowledge of the New York City landscape, and areas that can host programs. We need assistance finding  space for 4 offices and for 20 people to meet/have class for our work force development.  A background in real estate would be preferred. Possible tasks for this volunteer may include Identifying short term and long term space, Contacting realtors,  following up on leads with community partners.
